Homegrown
Poster for a genre based gig by ideaschool Contemporary Music students, Homegrown sees them cover a selection of songs by New Zealand artists.
The poster is built up from a combination of old New Zealand stamps featuring Kowhai bushes and a Tui, Prosthemadera novaeseelandiae. Tui are boisterous creatures, with their voice being described as: a loud and complicated mix of tuneful notes interspersed with coughs, grunts and wheezes.

This poster was based around an old New Zealand Health stamp keeping the original frame and sunburst elements and replacing the figure of Hygeia with that of the iconic Shure 55 microphone. It has an Art Deco feel to it in keeping with the location of the venue in Napier New Zealand, the Art Deco Capital
